When adding a new product, the quote template the product will use is also selected. In this section, customization of that quote will be detailed. There is also a downloadable template that can be used as a starting point.

Quote Functionality

Per Product Quote Template:

For each product, the user can select or upload a quote. This quote can be tailored per product, or can be the same quote for any number of products.

The quote template is a word document that can be edited by the user. The structure and a majority of the text will not be edited by Variant. Images can be added, including company logos, letterheads, etc.

Sections of the quote that should be prepared before upload include:

• Company branding

  • Logo

  • Header/Footer

• Quote Title

• Prepared By

 

• Body

  • Any section of the body can be removed, replaced, modified. Additional sections can be added. Furthermore, styling of text can be changed using the default styles available to word.

Automated Details:

Certain details are automatically replaced by Variant, including the following:

• «Configurator_UserName»

• «Configurator_CurrentDate»

• «Configurator_Table»

• «Configurator_UserEmail»

These items can be used multiple times throughout the document.

Product Images:

Within the document, there are 4 place holders for images. These images are dynamically replace with images of the configured model.

• To remove the images from the quote, simply remove the placeholders.

• Image placeholders can be moved relative to the text.
